Former Chief Minister and veteran Congress leader Virbhadra Singh is tested Corona positive for second time in last few months, and is shifted to Makeshift Covid Hospital at IGMC on Friday afternoon.
Official sources confirmed that Virbhadra Singh, who was already in Cardiology Unit had been shifted to Covid Makeshift Hospital at IGMC as he is again contracted by the Corona virus. Singh’s sample were taken for tracing the virus on Jun 10 as a Nurse caring for him in the IGMC Hospital unit was found COVID-19 positive three days ago. A medical bulletin released by IGMC Senior Medical Superintendent confirmed that his sample was found positive.
This was the second attack of Corona virus on Singh since mid April this year. He got the first dose of Corona vaccine on May 3 at DDU Hospital, Shimla along with his wife Pratibha Singh.
Thd veteran leader of 86 yrs of age, born on June 23, 1934, Singh was first found positive for nCoV on April 12, 2021 and was hospitalized for a month at the private chain of Hospitals at Mohali. He was discharged from Mohali after two weeks or so. On reaching Shimla, he had to be hospitalised immediately at IGMC Hospital due to deterioration of his health condition.
Singh has been under treatment in IGMC for the last one month. The official reports coming from IGMC Hospital have said that Singh is being treated for critical condition.
